The Town of Ballston Community Library and the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central Schools are participating in “A Universe of Stories” as part of the 2019 Summer Reading at New York Libraries Program. Studies show that reading at least 20 minutes per day during the summer helps with school success all year! All participants are invited to log their time spent reading or listening to audiobooks this summer.
Starting June 3, participants may enroll in our Summer Reading Program by visiting https://toblibrary.beanstack.org or in person at the Library. If you enrolled last year, you will log back in with that information, not sign up new. If you need assistance, please stop in, or call the Library during regular hours. You may earn prizes by logging time spent reading and completing challenges that appear on our online logging system. The Library will be giving away books, gift certificates, and raffle prizes this summer. The Summer Reading Challenge begins on June 21 and continues until September 3. After September 3, the BH-BL School Librarians will receive the reading results for BH-BL Students. Prizes can be redeemed from June 24—August 14 at the Town of Ballston Community Library.
The Library offers free programs and events for patrons of all ages, from babies to seniors. Many programs require registration and may have age or space limits. *Designates a registration program, all other programs are drop-in. Program sign up begins June 17 online at http://tbcl.evanced.info/signup/calendar or by calling 518-399-8174 ext. 3. To participate in events, you must be enrolled in the Summer Reading Program.SR-2019-Preschool-Brochure
