The Town of Ballston Community Library will be closed to the public until further notice.

Libraries are a gathering place in the community, frequently bringing together significant numbers of people. In order to minimize opportunities for transmission of COVID-19, and to protect community members and library employees, the Library Board of Trustees felt it was necessary to do its part to safeguard public health. We understand that not having access to the library and our many resources causes a strain on our community. During the closure, library staff will be available to assist you in as many ways as we can.

o Access our digital content, 24/7. Contact us if you need any assistance.

o OverDrive offers eBooks & eAudiobooks. Download the free Libby or OverDrive app from your device app store.

o Hoopla is our newest digital streaming service. Borrow eBooks, eAudiobooks, comics, movies, music, and more. Available to Town of Ballston Community Library cardholders.

o Our Wi-Fi is available 24/7 if you need to use it outside the library.

While we are closed no overdue fines will be due. Items are not due until we reopen. No donated materials will be accepted.

Field Goods deliveries to our location will be suspended. Please contact Field Goods directly to update or cancel your subscription.

Please be advised that you will experience extended wait times for requested library items in the coming weeks due to a large number of libraries in the SALS and MVLS library systems taking similar measures as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We will continue to monitor the situation and consult with local and state government and health officials. We are an organization that fosters community and information with our patrons. This mission is never more important than in extraordinary times like now, where changes are happening so rapidly. The library is still here for you during this difficult time, just in a different way. Please stay informed, and use that information to stay safe and to help others do the same, especially those more vulnerable than you.
