Donate healthy unopened non-expired, nonperishable food items at the library. The highest need is for high protein items like peanut butter and tuna fish, and canned fruits, vegetables, and soups.
No glass items will be accepted.
For each item that you donate,
you will have $1 waived from your existing fines.
Credit for future fines will not be given.
Fines for lost or damaged items are not eligible.
Donated items will be picked up by the Cub Scouts.
Please consider donating even if you don’t owe anything.
In partnership with the Town of Ballston Community Library (2 Lawmar La. Burnt Hills), the Greater Glenville Family YMCA is please to announce Mind Body Fitness classes. Classes are free and open to the community.
All classes take place at the Ballston Town Library.

The library book sale will be held at the Town of Ballston Town Hall (323 Charlton Road, Ballston Spa, NY) on Thursday, September 24th, from 3-8 PM, Friday, September 25th, from 10 AM – 5 PM, and Saturday, September 26th, from 10 Am – 3 PM. Saturday is Buck a Bag Day.
Join Bill Hinrichs, of the Alzheimer’s Association, for this 4-1/2 hour interactive program that will help you to better understand Alzheimer’s Disease and will give you tips on how to manage some common communication and behavior issues.
This is presented as three 90 minute sessions
from 6:30-8:00 PM on

November 24th – Behaviors

The Carnegie Corporation of New York/New York Times I Love My Librarian Award encourages library users to recognize the accomplishments of exceptional public, school, college, community college, or university librarians. The awards program will demonstrate how librarians are improving the lives of the people in their communities.
Up to ten winners will be selected annually and will receive a $5,000 cash award, a plaque and $500 travel stipend to attend an awards reception in New York hosted by The New York Times at TheTimesCenter in December 2009. In addition, a plaque will be given to each award winner’s library. Winners will be announced in November 2009.
The award is administered by the American Library Association with support from Carnegie Corporation of New York and The New York Times.
